Peat Moss is used for gardening and landscaping. Its fibrous texture helps to aerate heavy, compacted soils and improves the moisture retention of sandy soils. It is a key ingredient in many soilless seed-starting mediums, providing an ideal, sterile, and moisture-retaining environment for seeds to germinate. It helps potting mixes hold water and nutrients without becoming overly saturated.. It is generally recommended to mix it with other materials like perlite or vermiculite, not to use it alone.
